Installed new RAM, laptop boots but the display doesn't show up.?

My brother recently got a Toshiba Satellite Pro A120 and have started to replace it's ancient parts. I decided to start with the RAM it had a 1.8V 512MB DDR2 Samsung RAM in it. I decides to add another 2GB DDR Samsung RAM 1.8V. I installed it successfully and turned the laptop on. The power light flashes green 2nd then orange 1ce and continues in that pattern. The CPU, fan and HDD also spin alot faster. I wait and wait but the display just doesn't turn on. Please help! It is new and no there arent any problems with the Graphics card CPU or Mobo.Thanks!
