I want to become a cop HELP ?

So right now I am 17, female, and speak english and spanish fluently. I am going to be a Senior next year. I really want to be a cop, but here in Ohio you don't have to go to college, just a High School Diploma and have to be 21. Do I go to Police Academy, or also I was thinking of enlisting in the Air Force to get more experience and serve for our country, then become a cop. Do you guys suggest anything?.
