What are some good dvd rippers?

I want to put some dvds on my computer (so they can go on my ipod). i need software to rip the dvd from the disc to my cpu. Id prefer if it was free. The dvd is inception so it will be copyrighted/protected. Any ideas? please leave a link to where i can get the software.
